Eleni Zafeiri was born in 1979 in Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds a law degree from the Democritus University of Thrace, Komotini, Greece and an LL.M with distinction from the International Hellenic University of Thessaloniki (Greece). The topic of her master thesis was “The legal protection of designations of origin and of geographical indications in the EU and in international law”. She was qualified for admission to the Larissa Bar Association in 2005, after the completion of the 18-month training period as a lawyer and passing the relevant exams. She has been working as a lawyer in Larissa handling cases in all areas of law, with an emphasis on civil and administrative proceedings, commercial law and real estate contracts. She currently works as a corporate administrator and as a lawyer at C. Markou & Co LLC and she mainly deals with EU law matters, GDPR compliance and Cyprus company registration and corporate matters for Greek clients.
